A show where the only rule is performers can’t doing anything that’s a part of their normal act. Hats are optional.

Erik Allen broke onto the Minneapolis/St. Paul comedy scene in 2007 when he won Acme Comedy Company’s Funniest Person in the Twin Cities Contest. He appeared in the 2010 Boston Comedy Festival and tours clubs and colleges across the country. Erik was profiled in Artworks Magazine, and City Pages in Minneapolis called him “Tonight Show-ready…consistently unique and quirky as hell.”

With the release of his first CD “This Is All I Have Right Now”, Allen joins Stand Up! Records prestigious roster, which includes such artists as Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, and Hannibal Buress.

Some standup comedians talk a good game about the crazy things they’ve seen in their lives. Some of the stories are true, while some are embellished for the sake of the joke.

Gabe Noah doesn’t embellish.

Derek Henkels looks a lot like Britt from Flight of the Conchords. He’s much nicer than you would expect someone who looks kinda famous to be.

Take My Wife… Instead is a annual show held by the Comedy Corner Underground at which the Hubands/wives/girlfriends/ boyfriends are the ones dragging their significant others to the basement of a bar on a Saturday night.

Hosted by the beautiful Bill Young and the super witty Jena Young.
Trevor Gertonson will be performing the comedy styling of Julia Brown
Sapna Bharati will be performing in the style of Josh Florhaug
Alissa Peterson will be performing the comedy of Dan Joula
And Patrick Bauer will have his lovely lady Molly Nelson performing his jokes

Each Lady/Guy will do what they find to be the best 5 minutes from their partner. It’s a one of a kind show, that is going to sell out. So get your tickets now!

Benny Quash is the Boss of all the Bosses. He’s the man that pulls the strings. He is the man behind the curtain you should pay no attention to, well, accept for this amazing show.

Benny has as many personalities as he does voices, and not one of them is the voice of reason. He makes the joke sound simple but you will still be thinking about it a hour later. Benny highlights the humor of everyday life, along with the humor of lives you never imagined.

Benny Quash has been wanting to make people laugh since he can remember. Growing up in small town Wisconsin he knew he wanted a chance to get out. Otherwise, the only option was to continue weighing potato trucks at the Ore-ida plant.

Brandon Reynoso

Brandon Reynoso has been working his way through clubs and colleges throughout the United States. Touching on everything from raunchy to wordplay to topical humor, his style is bound to have something the whole family can enjoy (unless you’re close-minded, old, or too young and innocent to appreciate it.) Brandon is currently making his way through the scene prominently as a feature. He currently resides in Minneapolis, MN and has always wondered what it would be like to be you.

Nate Abshire

Nate Abshire started performing to spite a girl who wouldn’t return his calls, and he never looked back. Audiences love his sardonic wit, keen writing, and playful stage presence. Based in Minneapolis, he performs in clubs throughout the Twin Cities and the greater Midwest. He is a recording artist for Stand Up! Records. The girl still won’t return his calls.

Sam Spadino

Sam Spadino hasn’t performed comedy in a month. He probably forgot how. Oh well, at least he’s attractive. Not attractive ‘for a comedian,’ we’re talking legitimately attractive in a way that both females and males can acknowledge “Hey, that guy is really good looking.” If you think that good looks and being funny don’t go hand in hand, you are probably right, but Sam Spadino continues to defy the conventional wisdom and try his damnedest to get over the massive hurdle that being exceptionally handsome (not to mention well endowed) presents.

BILL YOUNG is the kind of comedian that writes jokes and then tells them to you when he is on stage. His work has been seen at the Cannes International Film Festival twice and the Cambridge American Legion Hall four times.

You started having these dreams a few weeks ago.

It’s the same dream every time. You’re sitting in a basement. You’re at a table with some friends. There’s a lot of people in the room and you’re all looking at a stage. There’s a man on the stage with a microphone.

When you first started having the dreams the details were hazy. You’d wake up and forget almost everything but lately it’s become easier to remember, more focused. The man on the stage is telling jokes. Everybody around you is laughing. Having a good time. You realize you are, too.

Every night the same dream but each night it becomes a little clearer. It’s at the point where you don’t want to wake up and are left with a sad, empty feeling when you do. You wish that you could be in this basement, listen to this comedian.

Then it happened, last night you were having the dream. You were in the basement surrounded by your friends listening to the comedian when he looked right at you and said -

“Bill Young and Hessley Rey at the Comedy Corner Underground. December 3rd at 9PM.”

He then reached into his pocket and blew a sparkling dust in your face and you woke up. You jumped out of bed to write down the date, time and location on the nearest scrap of paper.

It’s time to go to the Comedy Corner Underground on December 3rd to see if dreams really can come true.

Shane Hawley

Finally, Shane Hawley is recording an album! November 17th & 18th come be a part of what will assuredly be TWO of the most hilariously inappropriate nights of comedy and poetry ever recorded, by dragons. That’s right, dragons will be recording both nights, fully scaled, enormous, fire-breathing dragons.

In addition to BRAND NEW poems and jokes by Shane, and dragons, come see some of the most talented artists and comedians in the Twin Cities make you laugh until something inside you ruptures, but not your soul, because that thing is fake. Featuring poems by Sierra DeMulder and Sam Cook, jokes by Zach Coulter and Chris Knutsen, and music by the adorable Kerry Alexander.

Maggie Faris began performing comedy in 1999 in her hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota. Almost instantly she was noted for her ceaselessly cheerful personality and seemingly endless series of quirky, intelligent jokes dissecting our fears and social barriers.

Zach Coulter

Zach Coulter is just your typical bookstore comedian/rapper/folk storyteller. Winsome charm and outstanding rhythm animate his tales of mundane insanity. In addition to a couple of one-liners, he has quite a bit to say about beavers (the woodland creatures). Since getting his start on the basement stages of Minneapolis’ thriving humor scene Zach has gone on to occasionally perform in St. Paul and (name of your town here).
